Beijing. Quite unexpectedly brilliant. I went out to work, not expecting a cultural baptism, but it was an epic experience with enough drama to hang an album of it.
Mysteries of Old Peking is a musical representation of the old and new, very much like the city - stark reminders of history next to 21st century sky scrapers. Blazing sun, choking smog, violent rain, mesmerising thunder storms. From ancient cellars to 23rd floor roof bars - Beijing was more entertainment than I could handle, and I gave it a really good go!
